Northern Lights Aid

Northern Lights work with residents of the camps and the military to build sustainable community environments including schools, community cooking and social places.

Where is it?

Northern Greece, Kavala

What will I be doing?

You could be getting involved in many roles depending on your skill set. You could be teaching English to children through to adult ages, running the wood work shop, sorting and organising donations for the free shop and running the shop or supporting general activities and events.

What impact would I have?

As Northern Lights Aid is the only NGO working to support residents of the camp in Kavala, the impact of your volunteer work will be huge. Northern Lights Aid is currently focused on improving the standards of living and creating community projects. They work in collaboration with residents of the camps and the military to build sustainable community environments including schools, community cooking, gathering places and recreational areas. Every day people use the free shop for new clothes, shoes and other essential items. You will be working to provide the only source of activity and education for people living in the camp.

Who will I be working with?

You will be working with children, young people and adults of all ages. You will be working closely with the residents of the camp, local and international volunteers.
