Mision Mexico is a children's refuge for 29 children in Tapachula, Mexico. They provide emotional and educational support for the children and need all types of volunteers.

What will I be doing?
Misión México is a children’s refuge providing love, life and hope to 29 children and teenagers. Volunteers will assist with the day to day running of the home, such as wake up/bed time routines, chore and meal supervision and homework help. Additionally, in the holidays volunteers are needed to run activities such as surfing, painting, gardening, yoga, drama and photography. Misión México also run a Youth Transition Program, which prepares the teenagers and young adults for life outside the refuge.
What impact would I have?
The children that live at the home have come to from backgrounds of poverty, neglect and abuse. The time and love you give to the children will help them on their road to recovery, especially once they transition to life outside of the refuge.
Who would I be working with?
Children aged between 5 and 17 years old. Local and international volunteers.
On site volunteer apartment. This costs 4000 pesos (approx £160) for the duration of your stay.
Breakfast and dinner: 250 pesos (approx) per week Airport transfers: 250 pesos (approx) one way Laundry: 40 pesos (approx) for 3kg
