Purpose of the role
The Head of Business Development (HoBD) at Indigo Volunteers is a pivotal role responsible for growing Indigo’s visibility across the corporate world, enhancing the appeal of our products and services within the CSR sector, and creating a sustainable income stream through corporate collaborations.
This role involves crafting an effective corporate outreach and partnerships strategy, representing Indigo at corporate meetings, and fostering collaborations with potential partners. Additionally, the HoBD oversees the Indigo Mentors pilot program, leading efforts in new client acquisition and managing corporate partnerships. Finally, you will be managing our team of remote volunteers, providing a supportive and inspiring online working space whilst ensuring that their work is on track and our envisioned results are attained.
As part of the leadership team, you will work closely with the CEO and operations staff to drive our strategy and ensure a financially sustainable future for Indigo.
Responsibilities
PR & Sales
Identify strategies to enhance the appeal of Indigo Volunteers' products and services in the CSR sector.
Develop templates, documents, and materials for effective outreach and website content.
Utilise LinkedIn and other platforms to connect with potential corporate partners and foster collaborations.
Represent Indigo at meetings with corporate partners, acting as a key communicator.
Support the interim CEO in sustaining engagement with existing corporate partners.
Formulate and execute long-term strategies for corporate outreach and engagement.
Support the creation of quarterly and annual donor reports to sustain donor engagement.
Use Salesforce to track corporate collaborations and push engagement.

This role is ideally suited for someone with experience in business development, corporate engagement, or related fields, who is passionate about making a positive impact to the lives of refugees.
Proven experience in business development, sales, or corporate engagement.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong networking skills, especially on platforms like LinkedIn.
Ability to represent an organization at meetings with corporate partners.
Strategic thinking and ability to formulate long-term plans.
Leadership and management skills for overseeing teams and programs.
Strong team player.
Experience using Salesforce is a plus.
Interest in working remotely, managing your own time and multitasking.
Understanding of the CSR sector and corporate engagement is a plus.
Previous experience and/or demonstrated interest in the refugees and migrants sector, and knowledge of the responsible volunteering concept is welcomed.
