As a result of the Russian army’s invasion of Ukraine which began on the 24th February 2022, a predicted 5 million Ukrainian refugees will be forced to seek refuge in neighbouring countries (source).
We currently have a team making field visits along the Ukrainian border, gathering invaluable insights and assessing where Indigo's help is most needed. You can read their key updates from the Polish-Ukrainian border here. We will continue to share their updates with you via our Instagram and Facebook pages.

How Indigo can help
As a support organisation, Indigo is ideally positioned to place volunteers and support local as well as international grassroots NGOs in their response to this crisis. We have been working with displaced people for the last 6 years and have gained extensive expertise which we will use to deliver vital assistance to refugees at the Ukrainian border.
How will the money be used?
The money we raise from our Ukraine Crisis fundraiser will be used to:
1. Support our team in carrying out field work at the Ukrainian border, gathering the information they need to coordinate efforts and support grassroots initiatives.
2. Recruit an additional Volunteer Coordinator to help deal with our significantly increased workload.
3. Increase our network reach and onboard new partners in need of our support across the Ukrainian borders.
